I'm Simon, the person behind the lens

Posing in-front of a tornado warned supercell near Carlyle SK, June 8, 2026. Storm chasing with Ricky Forbes

My professional photography journey began in the spring of 2026, when I had the opportunity to film behind-the-scenes content for Ricky Forbes of Tornado Watch. Ricky first brought me on as an iPhone shooter to capture content for his social media.

Then, on one storm chase, it was just the two of us in the truck, and he handed me his Sony A7 IV camera to use for the trip. That was all it took. From then on, I craved shooting the scenes instead of what happens behind them.

While I still love storm chasing and always will, I’ve discovered that my real passion is capturing stories. It’s deeply rewarding for me to be trusted with your most precious moments, and I take that responsibility to heart.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me
